Reflecting on the current Exercise routine

This blog post is part of the Spark's Plateau busting challenge which I am following religiously.

I am not an avid exercise lover. However I have managed to be clock in some exercise or the other in most of the days. If not anything I always move around in the house.

in the beginning of 2020 I decided to ensure at least 6000 steps in the day and so far I have managed the same. Apart from that I am also working with a personal trainer thrice a week. in 2018 I had a very bad bout of TB meningitis which left me bedridden for last two years. SO the trainer was mostly for gaining the strength back in my legs than weight loss. And it is working very well. Now with Corona social distancing that has come to stop. However I have found Leslie Sanson and Jessica Smith.

It is a welcome break in the exercise routine and is providing me much needed burn in cardio and variety. I am definitely working harder in these exercises than I would normally do on a Treadmill or a bike. I can't do Treadmill due to my balancing issues and Cycle is just too boring.

I am on my fourth week of HIIT for beginners from Jessica Smith and I have enjoyed it. I do that along with Leslie walking videos. Jessica provides the advanced versions whereas Leslie makes it more energising and fun.

working at home and on my own has increased my confidence and I am more open to try out new exercises on my own. So overall I am happy with exercise routine and will continue with experimenting with different ones.

Exercising should be treated like having a bath. Must do it everyday! emoticon emoticon
