Strength For Today

Sunday, April 05, 2020

This morning I've been thinking of the hymn Great Is Thy Faithfulness.

And it occurred to me that one thing for which I am grateful is "strength for today." Recently I had an appointment with my primary care physician. It was by phone, due to the quarantine. Anyway, he asked me a lot of questions, especially because my other PCP moved, and we have not been face to face. Among the things he asked were:" Can you dress yourself?

Can you bathe yourself?

Can you feed yourself?"

And while I may not be as flexible or speedy as I was years ago, I can say that yes, I can do all those things.

I think that's pretty awesome!

Well, that's wonderful that you could answer yes to those questions! That's good those questions were asked. So many Drs. are in such a hurry they don't assess functional capabilities.

    Stay well, stay safe.
