Day #22 Isolation
Mood: Worried

Happy Weekend, my lovely friends!

Our snow is long gone and you can’t even tell because it already melted. It was cold outside, very cold. Once the sun came out the snow melted. It looks like it will be in the ’70s over the weekend. April is always a crazy month here some snow and then some hot weather. The other day I had the windows opened in several rooms upstairs and it was nice to have the fresh air in.

The market had a lot more people than the week before. I had my mask and gloves on and I was happy to see most of the people shopping had masks and gloves on. There were people with their little kids there and no mask or gloves, that’s just mind-boggling to me. I get that some people have to bring their kids, but protect them. Guess what they had there? Yep, the golden ticket… toilet paper. I was shocked at how much was there. My mom told me to grab one if they had it and I did. I just did my thing and got in and out within twenty minutes and got everything on the list. Everyone kept their distance from everyone, but once again it was quiet.

Then we went to Kaiser and when we got there the nurse asked me not to come in because they were trying to limit the number of people who need to be there. So, I went back to the van and waited for her. I was there for about an hour and a half, but I called my sister and talked to her. My mom came back with not good news they might have to take the top part of her finger. They did an x-ray and they think the infection is there. A surgeon is calling on Tuesday and she has to go in and see him. I told her to be positive until she sees the surgeon because it might not be as bad as they thought because the doctor said he can’t be sure until they look further. It would only be the tip of her finger and not the whole thing. My mom is worried, but she is upbeat right now.
