Day 4 and COVID-19 situation
Thursday, April 02, 2020
Alright, so I completed Day 4 today and I'll be honest, it was a challenge. By mid-day I was crashing and I was afraid that I wouldn't have the energy to complete the workout but I took a nap and that made all the difference. I am still sore from yesterday but today's workout didn't have my jumping around so it wasn't too bad...but it was still bad! Lol. Holding the squats after many reps and then pulsing and holding again. Ouch. But I got through it and I know I'll be stronger because of it.
I'm happy my coworker started Insanity so we can work through it together. He's never done it before so he doesn't really know what is in store but I'm helping him through it and encouraging him to stick with the program. He'll thank me later. haha
Today is also day 4 of ND which is awesome. I wake up normally now and I feel good. No more HOs and it's fantastic. I think my stomach is finally adapting to it but I found that Red Rose tea caused heartburn so I didn't have any today. Maybe that's why I crashed mid-day. Hmm.
So what's going on with COVID-19? Well, worldwide there are over 1M cases and almost 10K in Canada. Alberta found 114 new cases which are likely in Calgary or Edmonton and nothing in my town. We are still staying indoors and it is -15 and snowing today. I haven't taken Luna for a walk all week because of the cold. She zooms around the yard to burn off energy so it's all good. I'm still hearing stories of people in the US and in Europe who aren't taking the lock-down seriously and it blows my mind. Is it just ignorance or stupidity? Either way, I think nature has a lesson for them, sadly. I don't care if those idiots don't care about getting sick but they need to think about other people around them, like their parents, grandparents, neighbors, etc. Bill gates said that if 1 person infects 4 people that in 10 iterations they will end up infecting ~59K people. That's how infectious this virus is.
Anyway, I'm doing my part and so is my family. We aren't seeing people so we aren't spreading anything. Hopefully you guys are doing the same.
Be well.
