Ain't no mountain high enough!

Sorry for the bad grammar! But as I was thinking of writing a blog this morning, this song came to me!
Listen baby, ain't no mountain high
Ain't no valley low, ain't no river wide enough baby
If you need me call me no matter where you are
No matter how far don't worry baby
Just call my name I'll be there in a hurry
You don't have to worry
'Cause baby there ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe- Marvin Gaye

I am thinking of our tough times that we are going through and I am thinking of the positive that we can still find each day. I round with my employees each month, we are MRI techs and we are taking care of Covid 19 pts these days, and let me tell you, it is scary. But one of the questions I ask my techs is, "what is going well, what is positive in all of this?"
One of my techs yesterday said, "well, as we are not needed each day at the hospital as we have cancelled so many of our out patients that are healthy and should stay at home, I too will be able to take some time off as there is a low need each day. I can get some yard work done, I can study a little bit more, I have some books I want to read...." I was so happy to hear him be able to answer in such a positive way as incomes are going to be effected, we have the risk of being exposed when we are at work, these are going to be tough times to recover from, but I still think there is always something to be thankful for.

The whole point of my blog today is to please stay home, stay healthy, get in your exercise in a non crowded area, take really good care of yourself, eat healthy, take a deep breath and know that we are going to get through this. It will not be easy, we don't know a time line, but I am really hoping the world will come together and it will heal in time.

I want to thank each and every one of you for being here for me and for all the other sparkers that need encouragement and a friend. I know that I always have so many friends here that will reach out and encourage, support, give a virtual hug, make me smile, make me laugh, and sometimes bring a tear to my eye while reading their kind words.

Be kind to one another, share your resources if you can. Call a friend, a loved one, and tell them you love them. How very special they are to you. We can't do this alone friends, but together, we are unstoppable.

Stay safe and know that I love you as a spark family! There is no place in the virtual world like spark people. It is a safe place with people that really care.
Have a good Saturday and I beg of you, please stay away from crowds and stay home when you can. Take good care my wonderful friends. Hugs!!

Well said Holly. I hope everyone on spark gets a chance to read this. It is very inspiring. I am being a good citizen and staying home unless I absolutely have to pick up a prescription or something. I do not want to overwhelm the hospital by me getting sick. Take care with ill patients and please stay safe too. emoticon emoticon

Beautiful message! Yes, we are staying home and taking good care of ourselves. I'm finding myself feeling more rested and physically stronger each day. The demands of my teaching life we wearing me down.

Thank you to you and your staff for taking risks to help others!

Thank you so much for your service, for your sensitivity, and your support of your fellow Sparkers!

Stay well... I'm praying for all the front line folks who CANNOT stay home, and I'm staying home myself, hopefully to avoid adding to your case load!

This was such an uplifting and positive blog, Holly. Thank you!

We do need to think of good things in light of all the uncertainty and scary things happening around us.
Yes, our lives have been altered and inconvenienced but the bigger picture is we need to step back and take care of ourselves and our loved ones.

I so appreciate my Spark Friends here supporting each other. emoticon

My dear, you did a wonderful thing asking the techs what is going right, what is positive. It truly is the most difficult time I can ever remember! BUT, bottom line is, we'll recup. It's going to take time (economically, for sure!), but it will happen. IN the meantime, I think we as Sparkers can ALL set a good example by modeling best health practices.

HUGS and blessings and stay well, stay safe.

What a beautiful message Holly! And thanks for sharing your thoughts, and good advice too. And I agree, we will get through all this--so in the meantime, it is wise not to get into a fear state, but use all the wisdom we can. Thanks for sharing yours and from a kind heart. Lots of Love to you, my good friend! {also glad you are getting some time--for yourself, and to read and do yard work etc}. I am retired, but have been really into the throes of spring cleaning; time can be used productively. Have a good weekend and know you are loved!

Thank you for this lovely blog. It lifted the spirit. We are hunkered down but heartbroken with what is happening in Italy. I have immediate family there. It is a small sacrifice that is being asked of us.
Let’s stay safe and keep singing in our hearts.

    And a CHILD-of- GOD !
I am retired now because of Health problems. I have found other ways to bring a chuckle to other self- isolated.

What a beautiful and encouraging blog!!!! This is very encouraging and I am thankful that when I open my eyes, God has given me a gift that was NEVER promised!!! My calendar dates have cleared up and they are not as crowded and I am thankful for the pause to be able to breathe. God is good, even in the midst of all of this chaos!!!

We are self isolating here after coming home from out of country. We are all so busy maybe it is time for a reset 😊. Connect with family, get those things done around the house that have been put off πŸ˜€. Bless all those who are keeping us safe
