Every day brings something new, something different. Now the rules have changed, and people in my son's college town are being asked not to leave their houses beginning at 5:00 tomorrow. So, instead of the relaxing weekend at home we had planned on, and instead of our son going back to college to finish the semester, we are going to have a marathon day of driving, probably about 12 hours. We are going to drive up, pack up, clean up his room, and head for home, and be out of the state by 5:00. It will be tough, but with God's help, we'll accomplish it. And then tomorrow will bring us something else new and unexpected.
While not how I want to spend my weekend, I'm thrilled that it convinced my son that it would not be wise to try to live in the dorms for the rest of the semester. He'll just have to fulfill his tutoring responsibilities online and over the phone. I worried mostly about how the isolation would effect him. I'm prepping food and snacks we can take with us, cause there won't be any place to stop and get something to eat this time. Hope I get a good night's sleep.
