Meds again

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

I'm back in hospital and I worked so hard over the last two years to lose 7 stone and it's gradually going back on during this admission. I haven't been eating much because of depression but the meds are playing havoc with my weight but I need to keep in mind the scales here that they are weighing me on are not accurate, but according to those I gained 3kg, 6.6lbs in one week where I ate barely anything other than fruit. It's hard being vegan and only being able to eat the one "option" they have which is invariably a sandwich full of fats in one form or another or the dinner/lunch which is full of oil. I've stopped eating the food here and am managing to manage with food from the local Sainsburys (if and when I can get out with staff) depending on stock available (coronavirus panic), but it's so hard. I'm trying to figure out if it's the meds or what I am eating but 3kg in a week is a lot and it's panicking my how long it's taken me to lose the weight and how quickly it's going back on. Tracking everything again, I will figure this out. I'm not going back to the size I was!
