Keto Day 5
Friday, March 06, 2020
I'm writing early today since I have a late band practice tonight (big gig next week!). This morning I felt fine heading out to work in the food pantry, but by 11:30 I was feeling achy and exhausted. I do believe it is a result of the 2nd shingles shot, since I had the same reaction after the first shot a few months ago. Advil and rest have me feeling better now.
I'm feeling a little hungry this afternoon... need to read & understand more about "fat bombs", which are supposed to help those on a Keto diet stay satiated. Haven't had time to research that yet, hopefully over the weekend.
Today's menu:
- Breakfast: sausage patty topped with a poached egg and a slice of cheddar cheese. Delicious! Next time I'm going to have 2 if it's on a work day.
- Lunch: tuna salad on a small serving of kale salad plus a slice of dill pickle and lots of Powerade-Zero
- Dinner (planned): baked cod, egg salad on a small bed of spinach
- Late night snack after band practice still TBD
Today is the final day of the Winter 5% Challenge, the last day we are challenged to blog as part of a friendly team competition (Go Awesome A's!). If you're not familiar with this challenge I strongly suggest that you check out the 2020 Spring 5% Challenge Community https://www.sparkpeople.com/my
spark/groups_individual.as
p?gid=71569 which will be starting up in 2-4 weeks!
PS Blogging is not normally part of the challenge, it's more about eating healthy and exercising as part of a very supportive team. I've been on 4 different teams so far over the past couple of years, and they have all been great!
