Blogging - Day 1 of the Challenge

Saturday, February 29, 2020

To earn points for my 5% Challenge Team, we are suppose to blog every day for the next seven days. emoticon

I started this round of weight loss, on January 1. I know that without accountability / challenges form SPARK teams, I do not succeed. That has been my experience anyways. I was so excited when on the book of faces' SPARKPEOPLE page an invite for the 5% Winter Challenge team. I was like, YES! This started Saturday, January 11.

During the month of January, I did great! I am so proud of myself. February, I missed the mark by a LONG shot. I got hurt, new pain in my foot and other areas decided to pop up, sick, and to top it off with the leading of a new Bible study, the spiritual and mental warfare has been mighty strong! So, I need to apologize to my teammates for not helping in February.

The good news is is as of today I have lost 13 pounds since January 1. With the Challenge group, I have lost 4.5%, thus I only need to lose 0.5% to reach the goal for my team. I have a renewed excitement. I know the battle isn't over physically, mentally, emotional, and spiritually - but one day soon I will be victorious with the help of the LORD!

See you at church tomorrow!
