Grabbing The Controls!!

Friday, February 28, 2020

Friday, February 28, 2020:
I’ve got to take control of my eating. It has gotten out of hand and I am almost back to my starting weight!10 more pounds will have me there! So, going to ask these questions to find my WHY!
1. What hurdles have you come up against in the last six months? How could being healthy have made those hurdles nonexistent or easier to handle? One big hurdle is my blood sugar craziness. There is no doubt finding and sticking to a eating plan will help regulate my blood sugar and protect me from further complications. My problem is compulsive overeating!
2. When you look back on your life, what do you hope to see? What needs to change in your life now to achieve that vision? When I look back I want to see me as a fit & healthy older woman! I want to keep diabetes from killing me. I have exercise down, I just need to eat a nutritious, healthy diet and conquer my poor eating habits!
3. What are three things that make you most excited about being a healthier you? #1: Not allowing diabetes to kill me. I want my tombstone to read “it wasn’t complications of diabetes”#2: I just want to feel good each & every day #3: I want to feel the same accomplishments about eating that I feel about exercise!
My WHY: I want to kick diabetes’ Ass and it not kick mine!

I’m redoing the SP 28 Day program. Already I’ve found several articles I either skipped or didn’t notice my first time thru!

I've never reached goal. I always flounder. I have not uncapped the why for that, but perhaps it is not important. The important thing is how to get back on track and stay on track. so, here I am. I think blogging helps me do that.

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE:
*1* A warm home and a warm dog on a blustery day! It's cold out there and the wind is fierce! Nice to have a warm home and Sassy to snuggle.
*2* A friend who helped me reroute my work e-mail from the updated program change that wouldn't allow me to read my messages! Now I can read them in my new Gmail account!
*3* Lunch yesterday with that same friend and another to celebrate athe first friend's birthday! I am so grateful to have both of them in my life! Plus we enjoyed a delicious lunch!
*4* Finally a reschedule for my haircut! Getting it trimmed tomorrow! It is fine until that 1 day when it just goes over the edge from manageable to feels like an animal pelt on my head! so, tomorrow a trim! yay!
*5* Medical professionals. No matter what kind of medical wasteland I live in, there are still medically competent people within driving distance. Good to know with this corona virus scare! and, part of this grateful is that I am not scared. I practice good health habits and truly feel that when it is my time to go it is my time. that being said, no need to rush it, so careful I shall remain!
*6* Sassy & Hubby. My family. always nice to be welcomed home by a wagging tail and a dance (Sassy, not Hubby) & a husband who is always looking out for my best!

Have an awesome day! be careful out there!

I found the 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet great. DH’s look Sugar was pre-diabetic and this helped. Also we were never hungry and even eating more than the allowance we lost twenty po7 de each in about six weeks. It’s by Michael Mosley and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
