I've definitely got them, but not solely because of the weather, although that's a lot of it. The rest is just too much going on at home all the time.
I thought it would get better after the second of our foster daughters were adopted, but it's gotten worse. Either one or the other is getting into trouble, copping attitude, or just withdrawing. At the same time, both are demanding all my attention; the trouble, attitudes, and even withdrawals seem to be there way or response to the other getting attention.
For me, it's a lot of stress! It's just become a constant in my life, not a day goes by without having to deal with one, the other, or even both! At the same time, I've been losing patients and getting more and more stressed.
I have back problems and they have gotten a lot worse. I know the extra weight and the stress are a big part of this if not all of it, but at the same time, it's making it almost impossible to do anything. On the other side, I never know when I have to drop everything and run to the school because of problems. Add to that our living conditions...
We love in an apartment, and when we moved in, it was great. We are on the ground floor, so we had to adjust to some noise form above, but we did. Then they moved and new people moved in who refuse to supervise their young children. Last summer it became difficult and stressful to try and sit outside because they were always so noisy above us and would throw all sorts of items down , from toys to clothing, to metal trim and doorknobs. They would also stand on the deck above our patio and pee!
Inside, isn't any better. It's constant noise, running, stomping, jumping and banging. The parents aren't any better, it sounds like they build things above us!
Up until fall, we did get positive results from the management, but the manger we worked with has moved to another complex and the new management doesn't get any results. Even in the past, it would get better for a while, then they would go right back. Now they don't even get better! To top it off, the management says they can't do anything about it!
They did offer us a chance to move to another apartment, but no compensation for the work and troubles it would involve. They wouldn't even give us a week overlap to move everything, but said we would have to pay for both apartments during the overlap! Our lease is about up and I see in our renewal agreement, our rent has also gone up, not down! It seems they want us to move out, since we complain all the time...
Too much stress, to cold and wintery outside, and miserable inside. Problems with children, and now looking for a new place to live... Not much time or energy left for anything else!
