Recharged after a good weekend...

Post-run yesterday was a lazy kind of day - M & I decided to have pizza (and the obligatory cheesecake) in (the walk out to pick it up did complete my 10 extra fitness minutes daily challenge) and watch a long movie (almost 3 hours). Though long, the movie was engaging enough that I was able to stay immersed and even go gadget free throughout. Nice relaxing evening (going into night).

Before that, we figured out ideas for the final tweaks needed to finish a work task. So I was up earlyish this morning and started in on implementing those ideas right away - still testing now.

And, while Monday is my normal day off, tomorrow there will be rain. Plus I just like to get in a run the day after a long run - counter-intuitive, maybe, but it shakes out the muscles, loosens them up, decreases soreness (or the chance of getting sore through the day). And a beautiful, warm, calm, SUNNY morning awaited - it would have been a shame not to get out. I used one of my less often used (with a newly discovered section of running path) routes along the Delaware so I had a scenic river view for a good portion of the run.

It turned into 6 easy miles off, and I feel ready for tomorrow's day off. I'll push the workout runs a day forward (interval workout on Wednesday, tempo run Friday) - and do them with gusto since I'm also thinking it's a good time to scale way back on the weekend long run.

AND I still had both heat and hot water upon my return home (always a good harbinger).

All in all, I feel fresh and recharged. Ready to have another coffee and dig back into the work task(s)!
