I am at the fork and I have chosen the right road. This week has been full of choices. I managed to make the correct choice to reach my goal each time.
I realize that this week and next will be the major turning point on my journey. Sticking with the metaphor, I will either make it through the roundabout or I will continue to drive in circles until I am ready to proceed onwards.
This week, I discovered that I usually have a glass of wine or beer just because it is there. There's nothing in my glass so I get something to fill it. This week I concentrated on having sparkling water with my dinner. I am finding that I really like LaCroix flavored water. Zero calories....think of all the calories that saves me with each dinner! It's at least 100 and 100 x 7 dinners in a week is 700 calories per week - minimum. Since I am doing WW it is around 20 points minimum. That is a WHOLE day worth of food!
When I get discourage I remind myself of the first teps I took along this journey. I was pre-diabetic, high cholesterol and at a 29 BMI. The first thing I did was give up the creamer and sugar in my coffee. I did that the same way I am cutting out alcohol/// a little bit at time. I now drink my coffee black and don't really like it with cream and sugar anymore. I can do that and I can do this too.
