Mother-in-law, Hand, and Sleeve
Wednesday, February 19, 2020
Hello everyone. Time for an update.
Ok, sad news, many of you already know. My mother-in-law, Reatha, passed away on Saturday February 15, 2020. We did not have a great relationship, but we did have many good times and I am sorry she is gone. I miss her.
Ok, now for my hand. I had trigger finger surgery on three fingers on February 14th 2020. I get my stitches out on Wednesday the 27th. I am still in a great deal of pain, but I am hoping it will have been worth it. (yes those are stitches at the base of my thumb as well)
My second visit to my weight loss surgeon went well. I actually saw the PA, Vanessa instead of Dr Shin. She said everything is on track. I also saw the psychiatrist the same day. She approved me for surgery! I also saw the dietitian! Boy it was a long day! I spent almost 2 hours with the dietitian, Barbara, learning about Dr Shin’s requirements for each phase after my gastric sleeve as well as the 2 weeks before the surgery. Lots still to learn. She said don’t listen to other people or websites about what to eat during the phases, as each doctor has different requirements. I am so excited for the surgery! Should be late April or early May of this year. I go for me EGD on the 28th and then next office visit on March 12th.
