why does it happen that way?

Wednesday, February 19, 2020

A while back I shared that I had gotten a ticket and paid a lawyer to handle it. I recently got the date that I will need to go to the courthouse on the ticket. Wouldn't you know that it is in June on the day that my son leaves on the Educational Tour in UK that we signed him up for over a year ago. So now I have to decide what to do. I can arrange other transportation to the airport for him and go to court, I can pay the ticket or I can pay the lawyer another $80 and provide the reason I want the court date changed but there is no guarantee that the court will change it but probably would (I talked to law office this morning to see how to get changed). Not sure which is best option, Since my son doesn't really know anyone else who is going, he would need to take a cab or UBER to airport but as I have never used UBER it would probably be the cab.

ok need some jokes, how 'bout you?

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

Sometimes I think I understand everything---then I regain consciousness.

Ham and eggs: a day's work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

That last one reminds me of something Mark Twain said when asked about a politician---Only an idiot would vote for him and that is the majority in any town.

Have a great Hump Day!

Group stupidity -- went on a tour with 400 others to Holy Land. All someone had to say was "I think we should..." and the entire group would move *en masse*. DH and I stood to the side.

I agree with POSITIVEHOPE. That's a story you'll be able to share with grandkids, the lawyer, not so much.

Thanks for laughs. Have a nice evening. emoticon emoticon

OH boy. I guess I'd pay the lawyer and do whatever it takes to be able to see your son off. It's a one]ce in a lifetime event for him (and you!)

Let him enjoy he experience of the UBer. There's a learning opportunity out there for all. It's either now or never. emoticon You're probably paying the lawyer too much already! Choose your battles emoticon emoticon

You will never regret making taking care of your son you priority. Your other 2 choices Just involve money. Make the choice with your heart and then with your head.

Yes, life can get complicate. It’s never boring decisions are hard but at least we have the right and ability to chose.
