Week 7

Well this week was Valentine's Day. My hubby brought me a gorgeous bouquet and some chocolate covered strawberries from my favorite bakery. We also went to a painting class and each painted a half of a forest. It was a lot of fun! We've never really done anything like that before and it was really cool to do something different for a change. I surprisingly didn't overindulge on my treats so I was really proud of myself for that. We did however, eat out more than 1 time this weekend. We were all still recovering from being sick last week and I just didn't have any energy plus got a migraine on Saturday evening so out we went for most of our meals on Saturday. But we got right back at it on Sunday. While I knew that I had stuck to my calorie goals and I didn't think I over did it in anyway, I certainly wasn't expecting that big of a loss on the scale this morning! Another 2.4 is amazing but I'm a little worried that it won't stick...we will see what next week brings!

This week also marked the end of my first StepBet. I ended up sharing the pot and got my initial entry fee of $40 plus an additional $7.62 which is so nice. Monday I found that I had no motivation to get up and moving. The bet was over, it was a holiday so I didn't work and my kids were in school. I felt so guilty just lounging on the couch and binging Outlander! I didn't even get 5,000 steps that day! What a waste of a perfectly good day! I decided that the Stepbet was actually just what I need to keep me motivated and force my feet to get moving! I won't loose that $40 if there is anything I can do about it so I joined my second Stepbet yesterday. This is just a warm up week so it doesn't count but I am still going to try to reach my goals.

Speaking of goals, another good thing about Stepbet is that they increase your goals each time you join a new game which forced me to increase my personal goal. It was only 100 steps a day but it is an increase and I'm going to go with that. Small goals that are achievable are always better encouragement for me anyway.

Last night was the kick off to tennis season so I'm looking forward to getting back out with my daughter to help her practice. I'm hoping to get some warmer weather this weekend so we can hit the court but I don't know what is in the forecast.
