Yesterday in probably over a decade I did my first sit up. assisted sit-up that is. I can't imagine doing one without assistance, but I will get there. I have several issues there. First of all, I need to gracefully drop to the ground or in my case not graceful at all to get down there. My joints especially knees don't bend that way or hold my weight when attempting to kneel. Second, it's been so long I had to think about how to do a sit-up and I am not kidding you. I decided to put a bed wedge behind my back and shoulder and neck to avoid any strain a sit-up would cause. With my arms behind my head and the knees slightly bend I managed 5 sit-ups before I couldn't pull myself up another time. I am pretty proud of that. While I was down there on the yoga mat I went ahead and did some other leg exercises. At the end of that, I managed another 5 sit-ups. So now I am going to add the aerobic stuff to my walking and bike riding. I made my 5000 steps yesterday but then had to take the tracker off to charge it, so there were more steps. I also had an apple last night emoticon
