Eating at table without distractions, Test 2

Saturday, February 15, 2020

This did not go well. But I did learn something about myself. I made my eggs and coffee, grabbed my banana and sat at the table to eat. Again, no phone, no computer and no tv. I didn't like the eggs. I couldn't just sit there and eat my banana,so I ate it while I walked around the kitchen. Reflecting on my experience I realized what they meant by mindlessly eating. I usually have no trouble eating my eggs. I found out I don't like them. Now I can understand how I can eat a whole package of cookies while I'm at the computer or watching tv. The lesson learned from this is, "Not to have a package of cookies sitting next to me while on the computer or watching tv," were I just take 1 after another without thinking. Last night I grabbed the pint of strawberries as I went to the computer and finished it all, Although this is healthier than cookies I still ate the whole thing without even realizing it at the time. For the time being I will not be bringing food of any kind into the living room with me.
