Eating at table without distractions, Test 1

Sitting down to eat without doing anything else has always been a problem for me. I always feel as if I am just wasting time. Eating has always been something you had to do but I never enjoyed it. Even when I had company I was never able to just sit and eat. I was standing up making sure no-body else had to get up. Today I decided to try a new approach to eating. I want to learn to sit and enjoy my food. I sat at the table alone, no computer, no phone, no TV, no pen and paper. I choose a snack time, just 10 mins. It was really hard. I tried not to think about the book I could be listening to. I tried not to think about the card game I could be playing. I didn't bring my computer to the table and I didn't turn on the TV. I was trying to concentrate on the taste of the blackberries, when into my mind came the thought, "If it was chocolate I could do this." because That's something I put into my mouth, I close my eyes and savior the flavor as it melts in my mouth. Now I need to find healthy food I can do the same with.
