It is minus 28.6 C outside--probably the coldest day of this winter--
I feel the cold inside the house--

I must tell yu about yesterday. I volunteered to have son#4's 2 children all day yesterday. Their teachers are on strike ---and--- most parents these days, work---so, the children stay home--alone--
Anyway, I picked them up, after my Uber driver departed to his office--
They brought their snow pants, and I figured I could easily take care of 2 children---one in gr. 5 and one in gr. 3 ---
I had decided that we would go down to the frozen lake, and clear the tops of the 2 sheds down there-- They made a path in the deep snow and had that done in 5 minutes--I was still looking at all the snow wondering if I could ever hobble down there with snow up to my waist-

-lunch wasn't the most exciting either--
It seems that mac and cheese was not their favourite anymore--- so, I figured --"CARDS"---WE could play cards till their Dad came to get them at 2pm--
Well!-- I couldn't remember my card games---" Memory" was about the only one, and they both loved that game, at the kitchen table.
They both beat me, even after Ethan, the older boy, was showing me where certain cards were to match up with what I picked up-

So, taking care of Grandkids is not what it is all cracked up to be, in the winter--
Now, in the summer, all one does is sit on the dock and count heads on top of the water---so much easier!

Ethan looked at me as he was pulling on his snow pants , getting ready to go home, and said, "Why don't you open a school Gramma for all the kids stuck at home in this strike?"
Well, my goodness, I just couldn't believe my ears!
Even after me thinking that I had been a complete failure in entertaining these 2 children, it seems he doesn't see my age creeping thru!
Lord love a Duck! -----maybe the day wasn't so bad after all--

But-- maybe I should open------NO NO NOOOOoooooooo!
