Exhaustion has hit

Saturday, February 08, 2020

All the stress I've been under since September 21st hit me hard about 12:30am this morning. I have been so exhausted since then. My body has had enough. I can't blame it either. So now, I'm doing laundry. My son works 11pm to 6am tonight. Then 2pm to 10pm tomorrow. So tonight I'm doing laundry. Three more to do. Not big loads. Tomorrow I will sleep some, finish packing stuff up. Take a shower and then wash the towels afterwards. I meant to clean out the car today but it was too cold and windy. Add in the stress response of hives on top of everything else and my body is struggling right now. I did manage to see my doctor kids from other parents. Three of them have called me Mom since their high school days. My son turned 28 two days ago. Between both sets one has 3 kiddies and the other one. I saw the two girls. The boys were at school. I learned I'm allergic to my son's three Guinea pigs. I already had hives and when I held one, my arm quickly broke out worse. I got one of my Simple Abundance books that i ordered. The other should reach me at my brother's house. My son and I switched iPads. His has internet might doesn't. So I was busy loading my books, games and apps I use on his. It will be nice to have more internet access available. I set up my walk at home app and downloaded my walking videos. I have some more clothes to take to my brother's house too and clothes hangers. I'm contemplating some jewelry like rings or earrings but I don't know. I had hoped to get my haircut so I could color it but so far no time has been available for that. I bought my brother a bath mat for his bathroom. I hate those rugs by the shower that water just beads up and stays there. Ugh! I got all but two of my prescriptions filled. I still need my glaucoma eye drops and Pepcid. So everything is back on track. I picked up my test strips too. I did get to see one of my cousins last Wednesday. She's taking her mom on a cruise. They got aboard the cruise today. As it stands, I will come home again about May 3rd for my next doctor's appointments. I won't see the retina specialist until the end of the year unless something happens. I see my primary care physician and my glaucoma doctors in May. My brother's surgery is March 10th. I will be with him probably most of the year helping him get his strength back and walking with him once the weather straightens out. So much rain lay. Plus some snow showers. I haven't even looked at my computer since I got home. There's been too much other stuff going on. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I appreciate your comments and support always. Sending you all love, hugs and prayers. Wishing you success on your journey here at Sparkpeople.

Take extra good care of yourself now. Your body is struggling and needs your own kindest touch to allow it to get better. Allow yourself to rest. Drink in rest as if it was water. Allow your mind to center on good things...the smell of breakfast cooking, the sounds around you, the little blessings waiting to be discovered every day. Rest. Breathe...deeply. Have a safe trip! emoticon

You certainly have been busy since you arrived home, nice that you did get to see your doctors, and have gotten medications.
So sorry to hear you are allergic to your son's guinea pigs. Once you get home to stay, there may need to be arrangements made for the guinea pigs if you get another reaction once the hives are gone.
Wishing a wonderful day tomorrow, and a safe drive back to your brother's home.
