Struggling on Getting Started

I just started this journey- as in Thursday- and it's been a bit of a struggle to get started. Thursday was busy, and today was worse. I still haven't gotten to go to the grocery store, either! Between appointments, a sick family member, and now tonight spending 2 hours in the ER with my youngest (don't worry- just a sprained ankle) this evening, I have been suffering from a massive headache- only to just realize that I have had no caffeine at all today, which would explain my headache.

I've been looking at getting a Cirkul water subscription, as I don't love drinking water- and I live on Cherry Pepsi. I do like Hint Water, but I can't always find the flavor I like in the store and paying almost $2 a bottle is not really feasible when you need to drink several a day.

So... I am ready for a new day!

    I use beverage enhanceers in my water. They are available in the veceage aisle a Walmart for less than three dollars of which my favorite is peach tea. emoticon emoticon

    Any step forward is a step forward! They can multiply. Writing this blog was a step forward. As long as we keep coming back and keep on, we'll get there....even if it takes ten blog posts where we write about our frustrations, we'll have movement forward even if it's out of feeling fed up! lol. Keep coming back. Don't get discouraged.

    I'm a busy mom too. I know about the days that go by in a blur, and it's not until late that you're able to give a thought to what you had been planning on doing that day. I sometimes gave up, but I did a lot better when I kept coming back to my goals of getting healthier. The kids grow, and gradually we have more opportunities for uninterrupted thought.

    Try setting one of two small goals to achieve each week. You didn't gain your weight overnight and won't loose it that fast either. Take it one meal at a time and work on achieving those manageable goals.

    I get the plain water and use the fruit powders. It gets 4 of my waters in each day. And I drink decaf tea which WW counted as water in the past. I try to drink at least one glass of skim milk each day. Give it a try and I think water will become your friend. Soda is a hard habit to break as the dependency on caffeine needs to break. But you can do it. I did it in 2014 and haven't had a soda since.

    You can learn to drink plain water by buying the flavored powders & adding just a little bit. Also add fresh fruit to it. Gradually cut back. Start slowly & work on it then add other good habits. Just do it!

    Well my question for you is are you planning your start up or are you planning your failure? I'm not being mean, but getting honest with yourself is the first step. You can walk the hospital halls as well as walking in a gym or outside. Pack a lunch.
