Yogurt, green salad with ground pork, and small dog

I got lots of compliments today at work about my new hair, and a couple of co-workers commented that it looks like I am losing weight. I am thinking that it maybe shows a little in my face, but when you are over 270 pounds, it is going to take a while to make a big visual difference. But that's okay, it's part of the journey.
BLD likes carrots and salad. I have tried to explain to him that dogs only eat grass when they are sick, but he doesn't care, and he hoovers up any lettuce I drop while I'm chopping. He's the world's loudest Roomba. Then he perches on the back of the futon, like a parrot, carefully watching for any escaped morsel of salad, or a wayward bit of protein. He never barks or whines, just stares at me with those huge liquid eyes, silently suffering from starvation, wasting away before my eyes as I spoon up my yogurt. I always remind him that there's Life Source Bits in his bowl, but we've been over that before. Finally at the end, I surrender the empty yogurt container to be scoured clean with his oddly raspy tongue. Thus we are both content at the end of the meal.
