LOL I am glad I didn't see this earlier or I may have been tempted to have breakfast at Dairy Queen.
Tonight we are going to a Robbie Burns supper/party. A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, the author of many Scots poems. Our hosts knock themselves out to host about 50 people in their house. The first two hours are very social and everyone eats appies. I am taking my own 'appies', apple slices and string cheese = 180 calories. They hire a piper (Scottish bagpipes) and serve the traditional haggis, a savory pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs); minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal's stomach. They also serve a baron of beef with potatoes, and the guests bring all the rest of the food potluck style. There will be lots of singing and dancing to keep me away from too much food.
This morning I made my 'to do' list which includes a visit to the dog park for 2 lucky dogs and a long brisk walk for me. I will clean house, try on clothes to eliminate more, and give myself a manicure.
I am happy enough with my weekly Winter 5% Challenge weigh in and look forward to another good week
Happy February my Spark Friends! Onward and downward!
