DISCIPLINE is doing what needs to be done,
even if you don't want to DO IT.

DISCIPLINE is doing it no matter what your state of mind is.

Both so true!
But it's still so hard!
Any tips?
I'm trying to instill some better habits, but still only managing a day, or two, maybe three, and then it just falls apart and life gets in the way.

For now, I'll just keep on trying again & again.

Til next time,

Is staying focused an issue? I can fall into apathy if I don't stay focused. That means spending time on Spark, reviewing my goals, even setting goals for each day. I keep a folder on my computer with lots of wise and colorful posters (like the two you posted above) and sometimes I find inspiration there when I need it most. Reviewing my journal entries helps, too. Hope you find something that works for you.

Try linking it to something you already do. Look at the things you do routinely, particularly transitions, and see if you can add the action you want to that chain. For example, I wake, toilet, dress and do a morning workout followed by shower, (breakfast), and get ready for work. Another prime time is returning home from work, your lunch period, or your before bed rhythm. Whatever you want to accomplish from planning, prepping or doing, you can find a place to fit it in that makes sense to you.

DO you plan your meals? That psychologically helps me, because I know . . . this is what you will be eating when you have your meal. You avoid trying to put together a meal when you feel starved.

    I like James' suggestions, too.

HUGS and good luck. KEEP PUSHING!

You belong to a lot of spark teams. I say your blog on the side of a Ketogenic team, "Team Keto!".

If you are eating Keto, or trying to, and you are trying to install some healthy habits ... I can suggest the expression "be prepared". In my case that means taking along snacks that fit the way I eat. I may not eat them, but I'm prepared, and so much better than eating fast food (or whatever). In my case, Keto snacks tend to be cheese sticks, or pepperoni sticks, things that don't need refrigeration.
