It seems that I am getting later and later, bogging---
-and it is not even an UBER day----but--(the big "butt" again!) -we do have a winter storm outside . They predict up to 25 cm of snow to-day and to-morrow--
-no vehicles are on the road--I have been out shovelling and we hired a guy with a front end loader to push the snow back into the gully across the back road, so Andre , our snow plough guy, will have a place to put all the snow he pulls out of here.
This was me, in Florida, with my Mom and Dad--
My Mom lived to be 87 yrs , and to me, she never seemed old---did everything , like she always used to---
Last night, on the Documentary Channel. they had an older woman--88 yrs old, getting her Masters ----She spoke of "older women" ---and how difficult it is for most, to carry on--
She proved that they do best if left in their own home---that they carry on a usual then-- They also do best with support near them, such as family members--also do a lot better if they still drive--and she questioned why women kinda think that once they reach old age, that their life must not just be sitting in a care facility---that they are perfectly capable of living a good life, at an older age---and are even productive!
Sol---it gave me hope--- to not give up, when the snow never stops falling--when your kids tell yu that "maybe you should move to a Seniors place"---
I like to tell them , that maybe we will move in with them---
Thy look at us kinda "funny"---
My kids hardly get out here to lend a hand--- So far, we manage---
The Documentary was called--something like--"surviving in an older age"---
--another reason to stay healthy---
Oh--I must add--Last night, Himself mixed up the 2 dishes of dog food--- then HE fed Beau---unbeknownst to me---
I came along--saw the other bowl sitting on the counter --thought it was for Beau--so I gave it to him--AND HE ATE IT-- 2 bowls of food--
Lord love a Duck--
Maybe I am losing my mind!
Beau is still alive this morning-- seems like he went to bed well fed!
