Thursday and at least SUN.

Thursday, January 16, 2020

woo hoo, we have SUN Shine today, but you better bundle up as it was minus 15 this morning when I went out to do chores. It was rather nippy out there, and you know it is cold when you hear that squeak in the snow. It have is own sound, as all us snow and cold getting states know. Glad I didn't have to spend much time out there. I don't know if the furnace has shut off all morning. That will do a number on the Electric bill. Oh well, con't stew over it, you have to have heat. Then tomorrow thru Saturday we are suppose to get a winter storm with lots of snow and wind, Not looking forward to that, but so far the weatherman hasn't been very accurate in their predictions. But you never know, maybe this time they will be right, and we will get 7 - 12 inches of snow.

Well, I think we are one trim board away from that part of the construction done, and maybe I will get it all stained today, and maybe a coat of varnish on tomorrow, and Saturday last coat and then the stove can go back in it's hole and I can get my kitchen back. I thought our kitchen was fairly large, until you put the stove in the middle of the room, and no matter where you go, it is only big enough for 1 person. Even setting the table is a challenge. And I am proud of myself for keeping my cool thru all this, Have not got up set once. That is one of my goals for the year is to be more, ah, laid back less verbal. Can't think of the word I want. Larry has been so patient and has figured out all the nicks and crannies that have to have little boards cut, some were only a couple inches. Lots of going out and cutting in the shop and then back in the house, and nope have to have a little more off, so back to the shop. Even had to take some tile off the wall. So it was just a small project, even though it was in a small space Just glad it wasn't any bigger than it is.

Everyone but me is sleeping, of course, Shorty, and Kinney on my lap, Merlin beside my chair, and Hubby in the bedroom. I am just waiting for the Special Report on the Impeachment to be over so I can watch the rest of me soap. And then will try to get a couple small things done here before hubby gets up and we get back to last board. So you all take care and have a GET day. Linda

One of my cats is lounging on the corner of the keyboard and my right arm. I well remember the squeaky snow and how sharp the air feels when you breath. Stay warm and cozy.

I kind of like that squeak. It was around 40ish for the high here today but the sun never did come out. I'm ready for some actual snow though, after an early start we've had a serious lack of snow around here all winter. I'll try to send some sunshine your way tomorrow as I think we will have an abundance.

It is nice to see the sun and yes, that squeak the snow makes, I heard it going down to the mailbox today. They are predicting more snow for us too - I stayed home today and have no plans for the weekend except a quick trip to Target. It's a good time to get the inside things done!

Sounds like the project is almost done. Please take a picture and show us. I'm glad that it's coming to an end. Been doing small projects here at the house ourselves. Got 2 drawers reorganized and I'm happy that I've changed things around. I have 2 more to go but have to find the right fit of drawer inserts for it. That takes more time and planning. The last two I have tons of cooking gadgets and I'm going to get rid of what I don't use. But just you know it, I'll throw it out and then I'll need it. LOL!

We're predicted with this storm as well. Temps have gotten much colder than it has been. Guess Old Man Winter is rearing his ugly head finally in our area.

    Take care. Stay warm.
