I am wondering what is up with our weather..we are having Spring winds, those roaring winds that tear down the mountain and hit the house like a solid wall. But then indeed all of us are thinking that the only "normal" is going to be the unexpected. Our planet, our home , is undergoing some drastic changes. I wonder some times if our weak and dependent species will continue to be at the top , at least as we see it.
Anyone watch the series , long ago , of Earth without humans? On PBS or Nature channel..it was interesting to see how nature would reclaim all the areas we have scoured clean of life.
Indeed it would take eons to occur, but it did point out that we are not nearly as important as we at times seem to think we are.
Ok..done with the deep thoughts. I wonder if the wind turns my mind to these kind of thoughts or if it is being stuck inside with little to do except ponder and think.
I did ..woo hoo...get the dog yard done today. They need to eat less and maybe thus poop less? hee hee.. Tomorrow it is the Chicken House that will be attacked. I still have moments where I look out at that pasture and wonder where that great gray head is, Skinner was just always there for me. I certainly do miss that friend.
On a brighter side ..there is Molly..I never had a Lab before. It is a learning experience for us both. She behaves, most of the time, but I can see those moments when she thinks ..do I want to. She still likes to climb in my lap at times and cuddle. A big ole baby still.
So need to get a nights sleep so I can head out early to try to beat the winds.
Spent time with Mr T today as it was too windy to walk outside , I barely was able to get the dog yard done before it picked up today.
Nite ya'al...rest well and have a good tomorrow!

I hate those "tornado" winds. Now is the time they hit hard our country and they tend to last until March with some calm episodes in between. Oh, well. I have a mix of Lab with something shaggy and she's most peculiar. We totally fell for her.

Humans are destroying the planet and, while some countries are determined to turn this around, our country is not under the current administration. Big business always wants to do away with regulation and when that happens our air, water, soil, food, wildlife etc. all suffer. We will all be drinking sludge, breathing and eating poison eventually because allowing businesses to regulate themselves is like having a pedophile babysit your children. We need to all be recycling, reducing, reusing, using solar and wind when possible, driving responsible vehicles, encouraging good farming practice, etc. but the main polluters will still be big business. Most of our air pollution comes from burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline to produce electricity and for our vehicles. Not from cows farting. I don't think any of us wants to go back to sitting in the dark and walking 10 miles to work but we need to find solutions.

I miss your Skinner too. I think of Skinner every time I see one of his relatives in a pasture.

Labs are great dogs. My best friend had one. He and I agreed about water - we love it.
