Tango Shoes!

Tuesday, January 14, 2020

Does anyone else remember the Shoe books by Noel Streatfeild, books I read as a child and I'm guessing several others did as well. Ballet Shoes, Skating Shoes, and several others.

Well, imagine one of the books set in Buenos Aires, Tango Shoes. With a young girl wearing some of the sparkly leather-soled shoes, learning to dance the tango.

It isn't exactly what we're doing in Argentina at the moment, since the Tango Academy is closed until next month. But we're still having fun in BA.

And I found several tango shoe stores!!!

Mmm, tango shoes, enough to make me want to learn Tango. So passionate and romantic at the same time.
My osteopath travels yearly to BA for some Tango lessons and competitions.

Loved the pictures. Our money is fairly boring compared to many parts of the world. I love foreign coins and have a bracelet I put some on.

Those King cakes look so much better than the ones around here which I have never been tempted to try. I would not have resisted these and wonder if you imbibed.

I also like architecture like this. It looks like the area has a blend of different styles so they must have experienced a lot of immigration. My dad designed houses and buildings. He always had a drafting table in our house with plans on it.

I am into doors too. One of the most important parts of a home and your general first impression of who lives there. Beautiful .

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.... shoes. I have been a shoe horse since I was a baby. There are pictures of me as a toddler showing people my shoes. In school everyone knew I was the shoe girl. My grandmothers and great aunts all kept me supplied. I have shoes I will never wear. So I LOVE the tango shoes. Even the men's tango shoes are sexy!! I see several pairs of tango shoes I NEED. LOL.
