Can't believe that I have not put up a blog for this year yet - so here it is.
My last weighin for 2019 was on December 19 - had a gain that week of 3 pounds putting my weight at 252.6 - not all that pleased with the gain but it is what it is.
During the time between Christmas Eve and this past weekend I went off plan somewhat. What I did was have 2 shortbread cookies and then on Thursday I had Chinese Food and then the following day had left overs for lunch. That is not going to happen again. I have suffered a lot since Friday due to having a horrible IBS attack and it know it all stems from the sugar and flour. Never thought that those two 'items' would cause an attack but they do.
I went no sugar no flour on November 5 and my IBS seemed to completely clear up - no discomfort at all. Then bam - a horrible attack after adding the sugar and flour back. So I now have a postee in my bathroom which says 'Remember those shortbread cookies and the Chinese Food and how sick you got - think about that before you do this again.' I will not be going down that road again as the pain was just not worth the food I had eaten.
Today at my weigh in at TOPS the weight recorder handed out 'rewards' for the month of December and rewards for those that had accomplished weight loss during the year. One young lady (she has special needs had lost 50 pounds in 2019 but unfortunately she could not be recognized at a Division Winner as there were many meetings that she missed without contacting anyone and in order to qualify you have to be excused from a meeting to do so). The next lady joined our Chapter 23 weeks ago and had one gain in that time frame - so in other words she lost consistently for 22 weeks and lost 25 pounds.
Then there was me. I was recognized for in the last 1/4 of the year (October through December) I had lost 16 pounds and for the year I had lost 20 pounds. So am feeling pretty good about that. Got a couple of nice charms for my efforts. Now I am looking forward for the next 1/4 (January through March) to see just what I can manage - my am making a goal to lose consistently for every week in this time period and aiming for 15 - 30 pounds thinking that somewhere in between would probably be where I would land. Now to just do it.
So I have 4 goals for January which are
1) Lose consistently for each week in January 2020
2) Meal plan each night for the next day and then sticking to the plan
3) Drink enough water each day of January
NSV goals: To have 2 pair of pants be too large by the end of January so that I can purchase 2 new pairs at a smaller size

3 things I am grateful for today are
1) grateful that our ensuite toilet and floor around it is now fixed.
2) grateful that I started the year on my official weigh in with a loss
3) grateful that we were able to celebrate Priscilla's 32 birthday - love her to the moon and back.
