For the Birds

Hope you are having a lovely day. And has to be a good one here. Finally the sun is burning off the fog, and looks like it could be a gorgeous day. It did snow a tiny bit last night, just a dusting.
Yesterday after we got home from the lumber yard adventure there was a murder of crows
just raising a ruckus in the grove with there cawing and cawing. Then later I had to go out and they were still at it but this time much closer, right behind the shop about 30 feet from the house, and then I notice something moving in a tree, and at first I thought it was one of the cats and on further inspections, there was a
Great Horned Owl looking back at me. Now these owl are huge, and evidently the crows didn't like it invading their area. Anyway the crows flew away when I yelled at them, but the owl rested there the rest of the day, and when I went out right before dark, I got the privilege to see it fly off for it night of hunting. Their wing span is huge and just a beautiful bird, as a kid we had one that stayed in our granary during the day for a whole year before one day it just didn't come back. What a special sight.
So far today have got the laundry caught up, and why do we say caught up as if I really want to chase it down, and of course chores, and that has been it. So this afternoon I will have to get busy and get a couple other things done here. Hubby didn't go back to town today, instead he cleaned the little bit of snow that fell last evening off the driveway. So you all have a great day, and take care. Linda
