Yep, it's Friday

Yep, checked it twice to make sure I had the right day, and the computer both times said that today is Friday. whoopeeeeeee. And another gray here, and ever so ofter we get a few snow flakes, and cool with just a tad bit of a breeze. So not to bad a day, just wish we could get a little sun.

Finding things for Larry is bringing many challenges for me. Like this morning I make him Bread Pudding with Dried Craisin's and a light Lemon Sauce over it, he won't eat raisins but he really likes it with Craisins, they taste like cherries in the pudding. So of course I had to have just a tiny bit, so that means for supper there will be no milk, only what will be in the scrambled eggs, so I keep with in the carb. amount. Did have a 1/2 cup milk on my oatmeal for breakfast. So will only have 1 slice of 12 grain bread, the eggs and will not be fixing any bacon or sausage either as he can't eat it yet. So will have to track the carb amount.

After Larry's nap we are going over to pick up the wood to start working on the wall back of the stove where we tore out that wall microwave. Not real sure of his plan but I know he will solve it.

Well, don't have much else going on, just need to get up and move. Not walking outside as it is a little slick, as the ice seems to hang on. So take care and have a great Friday. linda

    I’m carb watching too. The first of the year is the right time for a much needed turn around. Did well today and tracked, too. Does Larry like custard? You can make cream soups by running it through a blender.

    You know Linda, just realizing the amount of carbs you're taking in, is a big plus for you. Now that you have cut down, how are you feeling? I know what you want, but truthfully how do you feel now that you have been doing this for a bit?

    I know when I started, I found every excuse to not pay attention to the amount I was eating. Spark tracking helped me there. In about 2 weeks, I had this sudden burst of energy I didn't know where it came from. As time has gone on I now feel so much better watching the amount of carbs I consume and my energy level keeps increasing. My blood sugars (as I am diabetic) have been in the normal range. I don't want to sleep as much as I did. I have a new determination to get things done around here. I attribute it to having this new found energy.

    Hang in there Linda, as it gets easier to do. Just keep determined that you are going to do this. emoticon
