20 Goals in 2020

These were inspired by some bullet journal groups I am in, but I made them my own (in no particular order:

Make 20 new recipes: I like trying out recipes in my instant pot
Finish 20 craft projects: I have a lot of half finished projects laying around
Watch 20 TED Talks: I love learning new perspectives
Watch 20 movies: I am not a fan of movies/TV and taking time to rest is tough sometimes
Read 20 books: I haven't read much the past few years and want to take time to slow down
Listen to 20 (different) Podcasts: I listened to several in 2019 and then my favorite podcast
app shut down (Podcoin) and I haven't had the energy to sort out which ones I've listened to already so I planning to pick that up again
Volunteer 20 times: I wasn't able to volunteer much last year with my internship hours (although technically it's pretty much volunteering because I wasn't getting paid other than having supervision hours)
20 Face Masks: I have a ton of them sitting on my shelf and forget to make time to enjoy them
Unplug 20 times: 12+ hours in a day with no electronics
Spend time outdoors 20 times: We used to go to the local forest preserves but haven't the past 3 years as much and I have missed walking, taking pictures, and geocaching
20 hours on Crisis Text Line: I'm a volunteer Crisis Counselor and haven't been able to spend much time volunteering since I did my training so I want to do more
Declutter 20 Spaces: I struggle with clutter so I am slowly working on getting rid of things
Send 20 letters/cards: I love getting a handwritten card and feel like it's not so common anymore
20 Random Acts of Kindness: Something to help me be more mindful of the present and the people around me
Try 20 flavors of tea: I want to make tea part of my routine to see what I enjoy
Do 20 things outside of my comfort zone: like go to the dentist or someplace new alone
Journal 20 days a month: I communicate way more in depth in writing, but I haven't made time to journal so I want to get back to it to see if it helps
Donate 20 items: I'm trying to let go of material things
Practice yoga 20 days/month: My favorite Peloton instructor sent me a yoga mat and blocks at the end of 2018 and I have taken some yoga classes, but this year I want to really get into it, learn some poses, and work on my flexibility
Ride 2,020 miles on my Peloton bike: This year I did about 1,600, not intentionally. I think if I was intentional about it I could have potentially ridden more.

I'm sure I will think of other goals along the way this year. And, some of these might change into something else depending on my journey. They are not concrete, but meant to be a guideline. It's not my intent to stress myself out. So far, it has been inspirational. Today I read for a bit, listened to a podcast, and rode on my bike. I haven't decided whether I will do more blogs about this or just keep track in my bullet journal. Sometimes electronics are distracting and paper isn't, if that makes any sense. With a new semester starting, I want to be mindful of my time. I'm looking forward to a brand new year!

I have decided my word of the year is going to be prioritize, might blog more about it later. Right now it's time for some shrimp and a movie! :)

    I got an instant pot for Christmas, so you'll have to let me know how your recipes come out. Ambitious goals, you will find fun, relaxation and peace as you accomplish them! emoticon
