Thursday and just resting.

Just a little more chicken humor. hahahaha I love chickens, and was a happy camper to go visit BIL & SIL's biddies the Christmas eve day. I just love to hear their little clucking noises. And yes, they all have names.

Had a great day yesterday and Terry (s2) helped Larry do a couple littler jobs here in the house, that I can't help him with cause of my arm. One was pulling that old microwave off the wall, and hauled out, and the other was taking the cover off the kitchen light down so I could clean a few fried flies out of it. How do they get in there is the first place. It does take 2 people to take that big florescent light cover down, and again with my arm there is no way I can do it. Then Terry informs us that the boys are all going together and buying us a new shower for out bathroom, and Terry will put it in for us. WOW, that shower has needed re-place for years, as it is cracked on the bottom and it is duck taped up and that has worked now several year, just needs replaced a couple time a years. lol So this will be wonderful.
Gosh I am just raking in the good stuff this year. I gave Larry the explanation as every since we have been married, it has all been about the needs of the farm, and now that he is retired we can now do the things needed in the house. And there is several that should be done, but will not expect them all this coming year.

The livestock in the house are all enjoying a relaxing day, without that lively puppy in here. Odin kept them on there toes, even Merlin didn't know what to do with him. I mean when you are about 160 # and there is a 7 week 15# wiggly pup pestering him, what can you do but just walked away. And when he went outside, Duke was the same way, it's was best just to stay out of it way. They really didn't know what to do with him. Now Finn that was a different situation. He stood his ground and gave a loud hiss and growl and Odin back up right away. No blood drawn. Good deal.

I myself am rather in need of a day off, so I am not pushing myself, just put a picture in the spot where the old microwave was and a shelf with a couple knick knacks until we can finish that place off with siding to match the cupboards. And guess what they are, yes they are CHICKENS. I like the look and will take a picture when we get it done, Right now they are covering up the hole in tile and such. Can't wait to get that done, will give Larry something to do for a few days.

Well, I am going to split, so you all have a GET day and take care. Linda

It does feel good to be getting things done. Husband is outside working on the fence. He just doesn’t have time on the weekends for the bigger things to do. Hope you enjoyed your resty day.

Sounds like some of this stuff around the house has needed to be fixed for a while. Glad you are getting some of it done.

Yea on a new shower coming. We had a quiet day including a nap and then to Rachel's for a simple supper of chicken and green beans and mashed potatoes.
We have a winter warning for now through Sat. We will probably have rain here but higher elevations will have snow. Then we will sent it on east. No need to thank us. lol Temps here in the 50's and low 60's for highs. emoticon

That sounds like friends of mine. He retires 10 January so the week after that they are going to go all around their place and make a list of all the things that need to be done (touch up a wall that got banged, etc) so he has something that is non-engineering to do. In between reading.

Sounds like you're getting some things done that just need to be done. We are also doing some projects here in the house. I'm going to re arrange my one cabinet, so that I can put all of my glassware together. This year I got new pyrex bowls with lids. I'm changing over to all glass now. No more plastic. Small steps.

Looking forward to seeing your new chickens LOL!

Speaking of chickens, we got a nice, hot egg that was laid just before we left hen-sitting today. DD was thrilled.
They love us and like to pick at my fingers, jeans and shoes. So cute!
