Can;t help it, another chicken joke. I just love them. lol

Well so far this morning I got the ch
ores done, and then hubby came home and handed me a card so I gave him his card. Then I open the gift from BIL and SIL. and here it was a Mug with his niece's picture on it. She is the one that just passed away in Sept. from cancer at the age of 43. way to early, and she only know it for a month. Make us both sad,, and continue to think of her. Then I moved on and made hubby;s pie for his gift from me, and while I was at it I also thaw a container of pumpkin from the freezer and made some pumpkin bread. If you have to bake might just as well make it worth while. This was I will have something just in case S2 and DIL stop by over the holidays. Bu I am not sure what they are doing, last time I talked to him he said they had no idea what they were doing, especially now that they have a 10 week old puppy. Also with Christmas being in the middle of the week, and they didn't even know yet if they had to work the next day. S3 I know won't be coming as he is a great manager and is giving everyone else off Christmas Day and he is going to take care of making sure those 22,000 hogs are taken care of. S1 is in Fla and Said no way was he traveling during the Christmas rush, and I said fine there is 51 other weeks to come home. So I am guessing it will just be hubby and me, and that is great with both of us. Going to have Christmas with his brother on Tuesday, and of course Sally is cooking the whole meal, she gets offended if I offer, so I learned years ago to just let her do it. But if it was me, I would let everyone bring something. Guess it is the deference on how you are raised.

Hubby Christmas gift came in the mail yesterday, right when they said it would, so check it out and it was the right size and everything so I put it away and got it out this morning and wrapped it and put it in the closet. I had to put the gift I got for BIL and SIL away in there, as I saw that it was knock off the chair and the ribbon had been chewed on and a couple of places where someone that been clawing at it while they total destroyed the bow. Huh, Kinney must be the culprit as Shorty couldn't have jumped on chair to knock if off. That is one thing we always know who done it, as poor Shorty's hind legs prevent him from jumping, so we always know.

Well, got some other things I need to do, so I better Shake a Leg and Get then done. Take care Linda.

We’re just not worrying about Christmas this year. Our three local families— us, sister’s, and nephew’s—are all being pretty low key. Husband wants deluxe shrimp and grits for Christmas dinner, so I’m fixing that just for us. We’re buying a fancy walk-in tub for ourselves in the new year, and I told husband that will take care of Christmas, birthdays, and a few anniversaries as well. I did stockings for us, and that is enough.

I did baking yesterday. I made chocolate chip cookies, and cinnamon, raisin, apple oatmeal cookies. Those are so so good. Hubby loves them and so do I unfortunately. But I don't bake very much anymore, so I decided that I'm going to sample what I baked and have no guilt about it. I also made banana nut bread to take to my sister's on Christmas.

So I'm good there and I might have to make a pumpkin pie for my sister in law's on Christmas Eve, but I'm going to try and get one from Costco's. I hear that they are excellent, just don't look forward to go out shopping there.

Well I'm tired and I'm going to bed, you take care and have a super weekend.

The mug was a touching gift even if it make you sad right now. Sounds like you have things under control.
Is it possible Finn not Kinny had the un-decorating fun?
I need to get gifts found that I bought and hid throughout the year found and wrapped. I did find the lost Christmas cards today. Whee!

Oh Linda, if you were coming to my home for the holidays I would definitely let you bring something because it sounds like you are quite an amazing cook! I wish I thought like you do about baking. I probably should make some cookies for our Christmas celebration but I keep putting it off. Tom and I will be alone on Christmas because my son also has given everyone else off and he will be taking care of the animals at the shelter. But everyone is coming on the 28th so I figure that just gives me a few more days to get things done!
