My best accomplishment

Back on July 24, 2011, I decided to walk around the center of the Earth virtually. The distance I found it was, according to Google, was 24,901.45 miles. As of last night I have walked 11,644.67 miles. Never ever did I think I'd hit anywhere near that many miles but I have persisted despite health issues, auto accidents and fall injuries, pneumonia and stomach viruses plus everything else life has thrown at me. I'm on my 6th virtual hike of the Appalachian trail. It hasn't been easy by any means. I keep a walking diary plus I have tracked some virtual trails via walking4fun.com. Along the way I've done some hikes in real life on the Appalachian trail, the Mountain to Sea Trail plus places along the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Moutains, Roan Mountain, Mount Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain, and in the Keys. Life is an adventure so make it count!
