Sunday and doing some well deserved ME TIME

Sunday, December 08, 2019

Well, it;s going to be a totally ME day. This morning I finished up making all my Holiday Cards. I suppose there is at least a half hour in each card, so far, by the time the glue dry between stages, so they are so much more time consuming than just buying a card at the store. But I have noticed that most of the cards I get now days are family pictures and I just love them, but never anything wrote in them.. But really who is the world would want to see my mug on a card. lol Now got to sit down and write a note in each one and get them sent off this week. One of my Missions of the week.

Tomorrow and Tuesday our internet will be off and on from 8am to 5pm due to maintenance on their towers. Same reason the guy was here 3 weeks ago putting in a new outside receiver. They are going real high tech and need to change all the receivers and them change the thingamajigs at the tower, so I am just hoping that sometime during those days I can at least check in to keep my attendance going.

Well, I am going so boogy and sit down and watch a horror movie. My favorite. Linda

Glad you got your cards done. Had to chuckle -- I feel the same way about us sending out a picture w/Christmas cards. I did when the kids were little, but doubtful anyone wants to see our mugs! LOL

I have zero artistic talent, so homemade cards is out for me, but I love receiving them,, I only get one now.

Hope you post a pic of your cards. I've done work cards and sent two to daughters along with their gift packages this weekend. I bought them frame-able embroidered linen cards from Roses and Teacups with cardinals and Peace on Earth on them. I've never seen so many cardinal items as are available this year. No complaints; I've always admired cardinals.

Would love to see a picture of some of your cards. I think it is so fantastic that you take the time to make them. We send out over 40. I try to write a general letter and them add personals on most of them. This year we are waiting for photos to arrive so we can put them in the cards as well. Yesterday I fluffed branches and assembled 3/4 of our tree. Today I put on the rest as put on the lights. Ornaments will go on when I feel like it. Hubby decided I need to decorate some of the outside of the house, besides the wreath on the front door.
Hope your me time was refreshing.

How lovely that you make your Christmas cards AND write in them. I agree, pictures of family are nice but it would also be nice to hear about that family.

I'll be doing my cards up next week. The list gets fewer each year, as fewer people send them anymore. emoticon emoticon

We haven't even started getting our Christmas cards out yet. You are a go-getter on that matter. Enjoy your day & that horror movie. With our tv screens filled with Holiday Movies & Magic a little scare won't hurt anyone, right?
