f the day: 1John 2:6

When I think of the impossibleness of living as Jesus did 24/7, I wonder where to even begin.
1 John 2:6 New Living Translation (NLT)

Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.

One translation says “must live their lives as Jesus did.” MUST? ouch. I am so far from that. I cannot be perfect even though the Bible says

Matthew 5:48 New Living Translation (NLT)
But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Yikes. That is a high calling on our lives. How can we do it?
We start where we are.
We ask God for wisdom and guidance.
We rethink and avoid temptations.
We guard against willfully sinning.

We praise God and give Him all the credit and glory.
We help and love others for who they are and where they are in life;
Yet we do not condone willful sinful ongoing behavior. We correct and guide back to the path in love and out of care and concern.
We encourage one another and have fellowship regularly with other believers.

What ideas do you think we could incorporate to live as Jesus lived?

Until Next Time~
Blessings, Kate

    I used to try to be perfect. It took me years to truly accept that Jesus paid the price for our sins and we don't have to live in fear of not being perfect. Since God is Love, I think we should strive to be more loving, but I am not always as loving as I could be.
