Getting with the Program

Ugh not feeling it y’all I can’t seem to stick with my SparkPeople meal plan on the bright side I am tracking most of what I eat yay me...lol. Ok I know I can do this we all struggle with something it’s all good trying not to pressure myself. I won’t give up I love SparkPeople I know it works and there’s plenty of support on here we’re all in this together to learn from and support each other!!!

    You can do this. There are a lot of teams that do challenges lasting a few months and it helps to have to group to support you but all the teams here are supportive and are willing to give help and encouragement.

    Small changes are more sustainable than a sweeping change. I started tracking my intake without any "diet" plan and still do to see where I am. I made small changes like substituting a veggie for a bread, cooking my food a bit leaner (grilling instead of frying, etc)

    One thing that is very helpful is to plan what you will eat tomorrow. By deciding in the evening when you aren't hungry, you can make decisions that are more productive. Then the next day, plan to eat the foods you decided upon. It helps me a lot to have some portion size bagged foods. I know it isn't environmentally OK but I'm still using my individual portions so I don't have to think. I also batch cook a lot of my food one day a week. It helps me not have to spend the time prepping every day.

    This works best making one change at a time. If journalling is working for you, then take the info and make the subtle changes you need to make then add exercise when that feels comfortable. You can do it! Just don't give up!
