When the moment draws near, we will rejoice.

Do you know the voice of the Bridegroom? (Matthew 25:1-13; Hebrews 1:1-4; Revelation 19:7).
Jesus said, “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:25-28).
Have you ever been in a situation where a physician or dentist explains a procedure to you so that you will know what to expect? The reason they take the time to explain is to help to eliminate fear and panic, so that their patient can remain calm in the midst of a situation.
In Luke, Jesus explains what will take place when He returns. As the world experiences the signs in the sun, the moon and in the stars, and the distress of nations, they will become fearful and panic. God’s people, however, are to look up and not be fearful.
When the moment draws near, we will rejoice. Oh, what a day of rejoicing that will be!
