Icy Roads Today

Good thing I planned for my "want to do" list to potentially be an unreachable goal today because it definitely played out that way. I fell back to sleep after I dropped Isaac off and the next thing I knew it was 10 o'clock and only then because the doorbell rang. It was Tim and his car with a tow truck. He was totally fine, but was one of hundreds who got hit with black ice on the commute to work this morning. Said he spun twice and then off the road. The back passenger tire just snapped off which is easily fixable (thankful) and most of the body damage is small that it won't keep him from being able to drive it. He transferred his things into the pickup and headed back.
After cleaning up the kitchen and having breakfast (scrambled egg and toast) I got settled with my faith time.
I chose not to work on Wednesday's study lesson as I had a couple of work emails I needed to take care of so the plans could be approved today. By 3pm both were going through. I then decided to keep up to date with the December budget reviews so put on a Christmas movie and pulled reports.
After an early supper I laid down on the sofa and fell asleep for an hour. Tonight I'm watching a movie about earthquakes taking out LA. It's been done well so far as the characters are down to earth and believable.
Tomorrow morning Tim leaves for Reno and I'll have the house to myself. Not really looking forward to that for the first time in quite some time. Think it's because I've been on my own with this bug for so long. It's all good though as I do have things to keep me occupied.
