Happy Thanksgiving weekend! :) My son and his fiancee came over and brought turkey and all the fixin's. I just did appetizers, beverages and dessert. It was so good to be with them. They are coming over again on December 28th. I will make stuffed grape leaves, tabbouli (with quinoa), hummus and (probably) baklava - we shall see...
I am having a professional house cleaner come over on December 15th to help me with getting things ready. I'm pretty excited about that.
I found out my work will be closing the Boston office and that our team has to be out by December 31st. We will be paid through January, however, so I am planning to go down to see my sister and her husband in their new place in Lakeland, Florida. (They have lots of airline miles, so I won't need to worry about airfare.) Here we go again...!
About "the weight thing". Before Thanksgiving I was about 177-178, but my next weigh-in (for the latest "kickoff") is Sunday, December 1st; so who knows what I will weigh then? I only know that I really want to improve my health and lifestyle. I also learned that my son and his fiancee plan to get married in May, 2020; so I would like to be at my best by then! (They are still working on a place; they really like somewhere in Salem, Massachusetts, but the communication with the provider hasn't been the best; so I'm not sure what's going on there.)
I am going to see my friend Mary (age 84) this Sunday. We haven't caught up in awhile and I'm really looking forward to seeing her and spending some quality time together!
I wish you and your loved ones all the best for the holiday season. I will be checking regularly, beginning this Sunday.
Love to all!
