Family and food

This was my table yesterday. All set for family to arrive. I hope you all had as wonderful a day as we did. There was plenty of food, as well as the spatchcocked 28 pound turkey (which baked in 2 and a half hours)

We always serve it buffet style, with the food laid out in the kitchen.

We all shared what we are thankful for.
My sister in law was supposed to bring salmon so I would have a protein for dinner. But she changed her mind, and I ended up without. But I ate plenty of healthy veggies.

ON the table is a little handmade turkey which my youngest son made when he was in preschool in 1989. It is a precious reminder of Thanksgiving past.

I leave you with that precious turkey, made with little 4 year old hands.
