Thankful

We drove long distance to our family holiday gathering. To accomodate work schedules, we celebrated on Tues, instead of Thurs (today.) I'd done lots of baking, brought extra food (whether it was needed or not)

It was a great day.
On our drive home, a car cut us off and we nearly lost it all. Literally. I don't mean to be over dramatic, but, it shook us up. DH did GOOD and avoided an accident. As DH was avoiding the other car, he nearly lost control. At 70 mph and with our car teetering close to leaving the pavement, it would've been a rollover that we may not have survived. THAT shakes me up. It shook us both up. The aggravating part is that the person had no reason to come over to our lane. We were in that 3rd lane to the left. He was in the center lane with NO ONE infront of him. NO reason.
On this day of being thankful, I am thankful for life. I am thankful I woke up today. I am thankful to be basically healthy. I am thankful that DH is with me and alive.
There is so much to be thankful for, even when we don't realize it. Let us not focus on the negatives. Let us focus on the positives. As the saying goes, be thankful for the small stuff and realize that the small stuff IS the big stuff.
