Hunkering down for the long haul....

Monday, November 25, 2019

We are in for it tomorrow night and then again on Fri. With Tues. night and into Wed. moring we are on the path for 6+ inches along with wind and then they say it is going to snow again on Fri. and Sat.

I finished my Christmas tree. I am a very lucky sewer since I have 2 embroidery machines and 3 sewing machines. One is usually only doing embroidery and one is set up for quilting and the 3rd is my piecing machine. So I used the smaller machine to finish this wall hanging It is also my favorite quilting machine. It's a pain to change those feet all the time.

It was a good day at home I enjoyed my meals and even ate my veggies.

Thank fulls
1. The first big snow storm of the year is always so pretty. But then it could all leave.
2. The challenges we endure growing up and learning to not let them eat at you
3. a new blade in the rotary cutter.

I will go to town in the morning. I'm out of milk and I think I'll add some frozen meals for the weekend. That way if I get involved in something I will still have at least the veggie covered.

I love your Christmas tree you finished, very pretty.
Yes when you know your getting snow, and for several days, it is best to get to the store and get foods to cover the time you think you'll be staying at home---good plan going to town tomorrow.
I agree with you about the first storm looking so nice, and the snow twinkling----down hill from there though, never wanted any more snow except a nice dusting on Christmas eve.

Beautiful quilt!! You are so lucky to have so many machines and not have to change the feet all the time. Be safe as this storm(s) roll through. We certainly have a lot to be thankful for even though we may not get to travel to families and friends.
