Holiday Thoughts and Treats

I am determined to have my sense of humor get me through the holidays and just about anything, because I would much rather laugh than cry. Things are much different this year and mom is unpredictable with her mood swings. We have made adjustments to try to make things work, but when all else fails we will find a way to laugh. I remind myself of what is important. I have a supportive husband who can laugh along with me. My kids are mostly happy (when not having tween moments). I have friends who make me smile. We are trying to schedule fun things throughout the holiday season from seeing a performance to holiday light displays, to get togethers with friends to mellow family time. Life is good. No matter what is thrown at me, I will remember that "this too shall pass."
Holiday treats. Here are my latest holiday "treats"
1. Siggi's 2% Pumpkin & Spice yogurt.
It's just gently sweetened, oh so creamy and delightful.
2. Holiday teas and coffee made with cinnamon and other spices in the filter.
3.Cider Roasted Chicken
(If interested, Google "Cooking Light's recipe).
4. Roasted Squash
It doesn't need any seasonings because the flavor is so lovely.
5. Kiku Apples
The sweetest and yummiest apples ever.
OK, might not have a holiday feel, but I keep them in my car and have them post-workout or when I get the munchies while running errands.
