My goodness I haven't posted a blog in a number of day - I thought I had done so the other day but I think what might have happened is that I wrote it all out and then got distracted and didn't press post = now what excuse can I make for that.
I am amazed that I have reached Day 17 and still loving the program - and it seems to be getting easier and easier. As per my scale this morning I am now down 14.3 pounds so am very pleased. Am blown away at what the possibilities could be re the scale by the end of December. My birthday is coming up in February and I did some figuring and I could be at a record low - well below what I was when we married 35 years ago (36 years in December). And today we were talking about when my one sister returns back to Canada (she spends the winter in USA with her one son) that I could be close to 80 or more pounds down - boy can't image what she will see - have not shared with her what I am doing as I really just want to see her surprised as she believes in me but I know down deep she thinks I won't do it - so look out sis what till you see me in the early spring! ! !
Today I changed up my lunch a little -looked like this
Protein = 2 oz chicken 2 oz gouda cheese
Fruit = banana (4 oz)
Vegetable = 2 tomatoes weighing in at 8 oz.
1 fat = drissled 1 teaspoon salad dressing over tomatoes
Was good and very filling.
Now supper was a bit different (chicken cooked different) - it looked like this
Protein =4 oz chicken cooked in oven with lots of garlic, little salt, pepper and 2 oz ragu sauce
Grain from breakfast = 4 oz boiled potato
Vegetables = 8 oz mixed vegetables
1 fat = 1 teaspoon butter over vegetables
I am comfortably full = both husband and I are amazed with the amount I am eating daily and losing like I am. Like I mentioned above having lost 14.3 pounds = 1.5 of that was since Tuesday (and today is Thursday) This is what happened last week - Thursday I have lost 1.5 pounds and then on Tuesday it came to a total of 3.2 = so it if happens 2 weeks in a row that could mean that on Tuesday I could weigh in a total lose of 16 pounds = wow that would be amazing to have lost 16 pounds in 3 weeks - but not counting my chickens just getting through today.
Loving how I am feeling - inflammation in my legs has improved a lot in the last 2 weeks so am looking forward to changes there by the end of the year. Sleeping so much better, Truthfully I can't put to words how great I feel, how thankful that I am that I have made it this far and looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year will bring.

Psalm 24: 3-6 (ESV) says
Who shall ascent the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.
He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.
3 things I am grateful for today are
(1) grateful that I have the strength (given me by my Lord) to eat in complaint with my plan for 17 days
(2) grateful that my husband is on board 100% with what I am doing with respect to what I am eating
(3) grateful that tomorrow we will be able to have lunch with our oldest daughter who has been down doing a course updating her accounting for the ranch they own - will be able to get an update on our 2 great granddaughters and send Christmas presents with her for them.
