Banks and Omelets. hahaha

Thursday, November 21, 2019

Well, here it is another Thursday, my least favorite day of the week, but today was a very good day. Today that old Bank that caused us a lot of stress and money the last year plus, is HISTORY, all the accounts are now closed and not only are we free of it, but the whole bank was bought out and they are no longer in existence. What a great feeling, as I know others were also put in the same situation as we were. And now they are GONE.

This morning I fixed myself a great Brunch, I guess that is what you would call a meal eaten at 10 am. I got out my egg cooker, and wanted a some what healthy, protein filled omelet. I had to find something to put on it, so in the refrig. but nothing but just some cheese, and left overs from last night, chili, so yep, I make a Chili Omelet with cheddar cheese, and wow was that good, just drained as much of the liquid as possible. The eggs, beans, and cheese, lots of protein.

Have a challenge here for the next few weeks, as Larry is having his upper teeth pulled and getting dentures. But he is doing it his way, he start yesterday afternoon, as 2 of his front teeth were broke off, so they pulled them, and in about 6 weeks he will have the 2 remaining teeth on one side, and then again in a few weeks he will have the last 2 teeth pulled, and after they are healed he will be fitted for dentures. He has needed to do this for some time, and when he broke off the other front tooth, he know it was time to get it done. So now it is up to me to figure out food he will be able to eat. Get the old thinking cap on. hahahahaha

Well, got to Fly so you all take care and have a GET day. And if you find only chili, and eggs in the refrigerator, just make an OMELET. Linda

My mom had nine teeth pulled one day and the rest of her teeth pulled the next day. NO pain meds. Egads.

Whatever Larry likes, you can put it in the blender. The flavor is the same. We did that for patients with broken jaws.

Yum! Omelettes are good for any meal. I hope your husband's dental work goes well.

Your omelet sounds delicious. Foods for Larry, could be soups, eggs, mashed potatoes, and such. Puddings for dessert. Hope he gets through this ok and that it will be a speedy recovery for him.

Take care and have a super weekend.

Your omelette sounds good. Robert makes me 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon some mornings. Other mornings I have Greek yogurt.
Robert also needs to get dentures, but the cost that was quoted is more that is social security is in a year.
We have had rain yesterday and tonight.

Sorry to hear about all the dental work. Went to the periodontist the other day, and it was painful.
How are his teeth breaking off so often? I have had 8 adult teeth taken out. Blessings.

That omelet sounds delicious! I'm glad to hear that you are finally all done with that bank. Good luck to Larry with all of the dental work in his future!

Hurray for that bank! Had the same experience with the bank we used for many years. Outta there, thank goodness.

Your omelet sounds delicious! Never thought of chili w/an omelet.

Good luck to Larry with his denture adventures. Not fun, but hope he heals quickly.

Your omelet actually sounds really good! Never would have thought of putting a bit of leftover chili in the eggs. We seem to always have just a bit left over - not enough for anyone to even enjoy for lunch. Now I've got something to try!

I love cheese and fresh mushroom omelets... and I'm sure Larry will be happy once he gets his new dentures.

YAY in regard to that bank! I'm looking forward to closing the accounts my mom had. I much prefer my own bank. Hers has no drive through except one branch, and that branch isn't open on Saturday--not good for working folks. It's a good thing we added me to her accounts last spring. It's been easier for me to have those moneys available for anything the trust doesn't directly handle. I was able to use it after her passing to write a check to each family member to help with travel and other immediate expenses. Your omelet sounds delicious. I used a can of chili (hurricane supplies) with mac/cheese and it turned out great. Tell Larry to hang in there; it will be much better when it's all done. Pudding, custard, meat spreads...try googling soft food diet for some ideas that he might tolerate.
