Wednesday Afternoon.

Wednesday, November 20, 2019

Well, the trip this morning to the neurologist went great, no problems, just have to watch where you were going on the Interstate thru Sioux City due to construction, which seems like in the last 6 months they haven't accomplished much, been all tore up since we been going there, seems like years, that they have been working on those 10 plus miles. Got to really watch, as there is barricades all over, and not really marked well. you just sort of follow the traffic and hope they are going close to where you are going. Lots of neon green vests, but really didn't see many of then doing anything, except standing there. Even seen some of them leaning against their shovels. hahahahahahaha Good news for me today, I don't have to go back for a whole year, instead of 6 months. I take that as a plus, and no med changes.

Got to move on as I do want to get my walk in for my Exercise Mission. Did well yesterday, and I have set the bar at a half mile for this week, and increase each week. Slow and steady, don't want to over due and then quit. So making it very doable to start with. And Nutritional Mission is to watch Carbs. So those are my plans of the day.

Got to go, so you all take care and have a GET day. Linda

A year between doctor visits is good. Maybe the construction will be gone by then.

Yay that your neurologist visit went so well. Not going back for a year is a good thing.

And I'm glad you are moving and looking at carbs. I hope you're feeling better about things overall.

Happy to hear you now get to wait for a year to make that trip! That's good news.

Yes, road work seems to take forever! But glad you got to your destination and back safely.

Good for you Linda! Just take it one day at time. If it doesn't go well for you, then start again the very next minute. That's all you can do. I now make it my mission to do something productive. With the water mess in my kitchen cupboards, I had to pull everything out, then wipe it all out, and yesterday was the first day I put everything back. So it was up and down on the kitchen ladder. I'm short, 5' 3" so I need something to reach the top of my kitchen cupboards.

I've started to organize things once again. I like when I can find things any time I need to. I'm deep cleaning 1 room at a time. Not everyday but I've done 4 out of 6 rooms. So by Christmas I hope that the whole first floor will be done.

We had the carpet cleaned so that meant moving all the furniture out of the living room. Now that was definitely a workout. Today we put it all back. Sure was easier when I was younger.

I wish you all the best and success on this new mission of yours. I will be curious to see how you make small changes to benefit you. You deserve to be healthy. Take care and a great night.

Good news regarding your extended doctor's appointments. emoticon
The road issue can be maddening. Our main road was redone with new water and sewer pipes plus new curbs and it was a mess since last March. But now that it's done I'd say it's the best road in town.

Good MISSIONS, we've got each other covered. I ordered a dinner salad in the cafeteria instead of a hot carb-laden meal and look forward to yummy soup tonight. I've got to do better on exercise. Good idea to add Exercise MISSION.

Good for you for getting your walk in. Daisy and I are going out very shortly. I remember when they were doing road construction all around Des Moines. I used to travel there for work and one time I arrived at night and got totally turned around. I had to get off the freeway, get out of my car, and look for downtown so I knew which direction I needed to go! And I know what you mean about all those people standing around - no wonder nothing ever gets finished!
