Should I Follow the Signs?

One of my favorite places to visit nearby is Grounds for Sculpture. It is a magical place filled with art of all kinds. On one visit I came across these signs. Though they are colorful and interesting, I found them a bit confusing. I wished there was an explanation posted nearby.
I find on this weight loss journey sometimes things are confusing. ONe day eggs are bad for you. The next day eggs are one of the healthiest choices you can make.
eating low carbs and high protein is supposed to help your weight loss, but what about fruits and veggies? Too much sugar is not healthy, so stay away from fruit. The list goes on and on. I remember one plan called for only eating cabbage soup.
As I said, it can get very confusing. I know I am always looking for the magic formula that will make the weight "POOF" disappear. I have tried so many fads and diets.
WHat I have learned is to research and find out the facts. To look at the pros and cons. TO check out the actual research. Is this really as amazing as the ads claim? How sustainable is it? Can I live the rest of my life doing just this, to lose and maintain my weight?
WHen I take the time to dig deep, I find many of the claims are not backed up with facts or results. Yes, initially I may lose some weight, but it is unhealthy to continue on this path for long periods of time.
It is a hard lesson to learn, because I really want to lose the weight by an easy path, using a magic formula.
BUt there are no magic formulas. My overall goal has to be to get healthy. In order to do that, fads will not work in the long run.
I need to stay focused on healthy eating habits and not let confusing signs distract me.
